This set is organized alphabetically by state; the same format appears within each state component in these volumes. Part I includes a discussion of topics relating to the regulation of mortgage brokers, with a brief summary of the law governing each topic. Part II includes exhibits relevant to Mortgage Brokers and their activities, i.e., license forms, text of administrative regulations, and other pertinent source material.
Users of this work should be aware that federal law regulates some mortgage broker activities that may also be addressed by state law and regulation. In some instances, state and federal law must be considered together in determining what the operating rule is in the state. Be sure to refer to the material behind the federal tab at the beginning of this work.
Mortgage brokering is an evolving occupation and the activities conducted by mortgage brokers varies according to geography, local custom and practice and even legal and technological developments. The authors welcome suggestions for additional topics to be added to this work.
