Quick Tip
Determine where federal legislation is codified
You often know the popular name of a piece of federal legislation
but don't know where the legislation was codified in the United
States Code. You can search for the popular name of specific
legislation in the USCA Popular Name Table database
(USCA-POP).
For example, suppose you want to find where the Bankruptcy Reform
Act of 1994 has been codified. Access the USCA-POP database and
click B, the first letter in the popular name. Scroll through
the index to find the act, then click its hypertext link to see
where the act is codified.
