Lauren Rikleen is the author of the top-selling, Ending the Gauntlet: Removing Barriers to Women's Success in the Law, which West launched to rave reviews. Ending the Gauntlet poignantly provides a road map for change that will not only benefit the profession, but more importantly, the women - and, as a result, the men - who are engaged in the practice of law.
Rikleen is no stranger to the struggle of improving the lives of her fellow attorneys. During her tenure as president of the Boston Bar Association, she created the Task Force on Professional Challenges and Family Needs, which issued a groundbreaking report that linked the increasing rates of attrition to the economic changes taking place in law firms and their impact on lawyers' personal and professional lives. She has remained active in these issues in a variety of ways over the years, culminating in the well-received book, Ending the Gauntlet: Removing Barriers to Women's Success in the Law.
