Steve Buege is president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Elite, a leading provider of integrated information solutions to professional services firms worldwide. Mr. Buege oversees the global operations of Elite, including the Elite, ProLaw,and Hubbard One/Elite Business Development product lines.

Prior to joining Elite, Mr. Buege served as senior vice president of Business Information, News and Public Records, and president and CEO of Business Intelligence Services for West. Before that he was senior vice president of Operations for West, and earlier served as senior vice president and chief technology officer for Thomson Legal & Regulatory. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Buege served as vice president of West Technical Services, and previously held several software development and managerial roles at West and the former West Publishing Company. He has more than 20 years of experience in electronic publishing technologies and delivery systems for online, Web and CD-ROM products.

Mr. Buege earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. He graduated summa cum laude with bachelor's degrees in computer science, business management and economics from Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minn.
