West’s Commitment to the Community
Established in 1998, the Community Partnership Program oversees the philanthropic activities of Thomson West. In order to better concentrate the impact of our contributions and play a key role in shaping and building opportunities with our communities, West directs its charitable activities toward three focus areas:
- Educating the future work force
- Providing arts and cultural experiences to the community
- Developing and strengthening youth, families and communities
West’s commitment to the community includes:
 |
Employee Giving Campaign (Corporate Drives) West sponsors corporate drives which offer employees the opportunity to join together and give back to those who need assistance in the communities where we work and live. |
| |
 |
Community Grants and In-Kind Contributions West awards charitable cash grants and in-kind contributions to nonprofit organizations whose mission falls within our focus areas and who have the support and involvement of our employees.
