Workplace Diversity

Different All Together

Our Philosophy

We define diversity as the many individual characteristics people bring to the workplace – whether those characteristics are visible or not. We believe that honoring and encouraging differences in thought, perspective, approach, style and experience creates a high performing organization and extraordinary value for the business.
We promote an environment of respect, understanding and inclusion where all individuals are able to thrive and contribute to the success of the business. As a company, diversity is an integral part of our core value system - fundamental in how we treat employees, create products, serve customers and relate to the communities in which we work and live. We believe this vision will allow us to:
  • Create and sustain a high-performing organization
  • Attract and retain the best talent in the industry
  • Offer the best services and solutions to customers
  • Produce the best value for shareholders
Thomson is committed to ensuring that its employees work in a safe and respectful environment where high value is put on equality, fairness, respect, courtesy and dignity.
Diversity in Action
Thomson Reuters does business in 93 countries and our employee base comprises over 100 nationalities, reflecting the different cultures and markets in which we operate. This diversity of cultural perspectives, business insights, and geography both defines and differentiates the Thomson Reuters environment.
Bringing together people with different backgrounds, talents, and experiences leads to diverse thinking, new approaches, strong collaborations, and greater innovation. It not only helps our employees to thrive and realize their full potential, but it also helps Thomson Reuters as a company to better recognize new business opportunities, adapt in a fast-changing environment and deliver improved products and services to our customers.
Employee Resource & Networking Groups
Thomson Reuters offers resources and networking groups so employees have peer support, can share common experiences, and can discuss ways to address issues of concern. Examples include, but are not limited to African American, Asian, and Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender employees.
